— Narrative

Amy Ellingson's Large Variation: Blue — a twenty-six-foot ceramic mosaic set into the atrium of the College of Osteopathic Medicine — works in sweeping line and overlapping float, color that shifts as you rise through the building.

Commissioned in 2019, fabricated in Montreal by Mosaika Art & Design, installed in 2021. A permanent work, built to knit the atrium's structural levels into a single visual field — and to carry the color of sky and landscape deep into the interior of the building.
