Artist Kent Roberts has crafted a remarkable public art installation that beautifully mimics the delicate form of tree leaves, adorning an exterior wall in a captivating cluster. These elliptical shapes, meticulously positioned at varying angles and suspended away from the wall, interact with the ever-changing natural light, casting dynamic and mesmerizing shadows against the building. By night, the sculpture comes alive when thoughtfully illuminated, adding an enchanting nocturnal dimension to the urban landscape.
Each of these ellipse-shaped leaves stands tall at 47.5 inches, forged from slender 1/8 inch sheets of 304 stainless steel, exuding durability and a contemporary aesthetic. The sculpture as a whole stretches to a majestic 23 feet and 6 inches in height, spanning a width of 6 feet and 5 inches, creating a harmonious blend of nature-inspired artistry and architectural grandeur.
